Description
The ACM8CBE is a versatile power management solution designed for the access control industry, capable of converting a single 12 to 24 volt AC or DC input into eight independently controlled PTC-protected outputs. These outputs can be activated using an open collector sink or a normally open (NO) dry trigger input from various access control devices such as card readers, keypads, push buttons, PIR sensors, and more. It efficiently routes power to a wide range of access control hardware, including magnetic locks, electric strikes, and magnetic door holders. The outputs are adaptable for both fail-safe and fail-secure configurations, providing flexibility for various security needs. The unit can be powered either by a single common power source supporting both board operation and locking devices, or by two separate power sources—one for the board and another for lock or accessory power. Additionally, the FACP interface facilitates emergency egress and alarm monitoring by interfacing with fire alarm systems, offering selective fire alarm disconnect capability for any or all of the eight outputs.
