Description
A contactless smartcard reader solution with mobile access functionality leverages the proven LEGIC contactless RFID technology. These readers integrate seamlessly with a variety of electronic access control systems, supporting both the traditional Wiegand protocol and the modern bi-directional Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP). They deliver enhanced features like MAXSecure and ValidID, and are capable of reading both sector data and card serial numbers (CSN). Alongside conventional contactless smartcard access credentials such as clamshell cards and key tags, the platform also supports mobile access credentials via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-enabled smartphones. This capability transforms a smartphone into a contactless electronic access control credential. Access credentials—including both traditional and mobile options—can be custom programmed in precise number sequences and formats as needed.
