The RCI Ranger sets the standard in the electronic security industry for high-frequency, long-range identification receivers and transmitters. Utilizing advanced contactless digital ultra high frequency (UHF) technology, these receivers seamlessly integrate with a variety of electronic access control systems by supporting both the traditional Wiegand communication protocol and the modern bi-directional Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP). RCI Ranger transmitters are active components, powered by widely-used, reliable batteries, and feature a securely embedded proximity or contactless smartcard module. These modules can be customized to accommodate multiple proximity reader technologies, enabling the transmitter to function as a short-range credential.
