Description
**4591 Deadlatch Paddle**
The 4591 Deadlatch Paddle offers an ergonomic and user-friendly solution as a door hardware alternative to traditional knobs or lever handles, designed for seamless door operation with a simple push or pull action.
**Functionality:**
This innovative deadlatch paddle serves as a substitute for conventional knob or lever handles, facilitating easy access by making latched doors feel as effortless to open as unlatched ones. Simply push or pull according to the door’s swing direction. It is compatible with Adams Rite 4300, 4500, or 4900 Series Deadlatches, MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch, and 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch systems.
**Operation:**
The Deadlatch Paddle is available in four versatile configurations: push left, push right, pull left, and pull right, allowing on-site reconfiguration to suit different needs. Note that dogging is not available when set to the pull configuration.
**Features:**
– **Paddle:** Constructed from extruded aluminum for durability.
– **Escutcheons:** Made from zinc alloy with a black finish, these are securely attached to the door stile using special binder posts engineered to withstand torque loads in any direction.
– **Cam Plug:** Provided for use with the 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches, although not suitable for MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch or 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch. The cam plug is anchored within the latch body using a cylinder set screw and is further reinforced by hardened steel pins that connect it to the escutcheon.
