Description
This electric strike is engineered for compatibility with deadlatches or cylindrical locksets featuring a latchbolt projection ranging from 1/2″ [12.7 mm] to 5/8″ [15.9 mm]. It is suitable for aluminum, hollow metal, or wood door installations and is capable of electrically opening under a preload of up to 25 lbs [11.3 kg]. Preload stems from forces such as air conditioning pressure, door warping, or misaligned hardware, often compromising standard electric strikes.
Function:
The strike is designed to be non-handed and boasts an ultra-compact form factor, with adjustable stainless steel keepers capable of withstanding over 1,500 lbs [680.4 kg] of holding force in fail-secure mode. It efficiently releases electrically with a door preload of up to 25 lbs. Operating via a single solenoid on 12/16/24 VDC power, it offers remote electrical control for narrow stile aluminum doors equipped with suitable deadlatches or cylindrical locksets. Electrical actuation disengages the keeper, allowing the release of the latchbolt, so the door may be opened without manual operation of the latch.
