Description
The TMC-GSFP series of Ethernet media converters is engineered for seamless electrical-to-optical data conversion, accommodating both 10/100 and 1000 Mbps electrical inputs and transforming them into 100 or 1000 Mbps optical outputs via a selectable dip switch. It also converts 100/1000 Mbps optical inputs back to 10/100/1000 Mbps electrical outputs. Supporting “Auto-Negotiating” on the copper interface, these converters are designed to work with either one or two optical fibers, contingent upon the choice of separately purchased SFP optical modules.
A variant in the series, the PoE-enabled TMC-GSFPPOEM, aligns with the IEEE802.3at standards and supplies 30 watts of PoE+ power. This series offers compact single-channel models, including the TMC-GSFPM and TMC-GSFPPOEM, alongside a standard-size single-channel model, TMC-GSFP. The standard-size unit can be plugged directly into compatible racks such as the SBP-C14 / SBP-C03 or used as a standalone module, while the compact units function solely as standalone solutions.
