The TMC-GSFP media converters are crucial tools for Ethernet networking, transforming 10/100 or 1000 Mbps electrical signals into 100 or 1000 Mbps optical outputs through a convenient dip switch configuration. They also efficiently convert 100/1000 Mbps optical inputs back to 10/100/1000 Mbps electrical outputs, supporting “Auto-Negotiating” on the copper interface to ensure seamless connectivity. Whether utilizing one or two optical fibers, these converters adapt to your needs based on the SFP optical module selected separately.
For enhanced functionality, the TMC-GSFPPOEM model aligns with the IEEE802.3at standard, delivering 30 watts of PoE+ power, ideal for network devices requiring power over Ethernet. The series includes compact single-channel options, TMC-GSFPM & TMC-GSFPPOEM, alongside a standard size single-channel TMC-GSFP. The standard unit can be conveniently integrated into a rack solution or function independently as a standalone module, while the compact models are designed for standalone applications.
