APC’s Switched Rack Power Distribution Units (PDUs) provide sophisticated capabilities for power management and outlet-specific metering. These units facilitate remote power cycling, enabling reboot of unresponsive devices and preventing unauthorized usage of outlets. With customizable power sequencing delays, users can determine the order for powering up or down connected devices to prevent circuit overload and ensure that critical equipment has extended uptime by prioritizing load shedding. The PDUs offer current metering for real-time remote monitoring of connected loads and feature integrated power monitoring, support for temperature and humidity sensors, and locking IEC receptacles. Configurable alarms alert users to potential circuit overloads, preventing IT failures. Additionally, users can access and manage these Switched Rack PDUs through secure interfaces such as Web, SNMP, or Telnet, with integration support for centralized management platforms like InfraStruxure Central, Capacity Manager, and Change Manager.
