Description
The Altronix VB6 is a budget-friendly 56VDC/30W UL Listed limited power supply, specifically engineered for powering Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. It’s ideal for devices such as the CAT5 to Coax cable managed Ethernet midspan receivers and transceivers equipped with managed PoE/PoE+ switches. The VB6 offers two sets of output terminals, allowing for easy connection of up to two devices. It operates using a 24VDC/24VAC Class 2 rated transformer/power source, with an input requirement of either 24VAC @ 1.5A or 24VDC @ 1.5A. The unit delivers two 56VDC outputs with a combined total power of up to 30W, featuring electronically filtered and regulated outputs alongside built-in overload protection. Additional features include input and output LEDs, spring terminals, and a temperature operating range of 0ºC to 49ºC (32ºF to 120ºF). It can be stored within a temperature range of -20ºC to 70ºC (-4ºF to 158ºF) and maintains a relative humidity of 85% +/- 5%. The device’s energy consumption is approximately 15 BTU/Hr.
