The FAPSUB-1 enhances any distributed audio system with its remarkable low-frequency capabilities. This subwoofer features an 8-inch, 8-ohm driver specifically engineered for peak performance within the FAPSUB-1 enclosure. The 3-pole filtering network is designed to efficiently remove unwanted high frequencies, while the 937 cubic inch tuned and ported deep drawn steel enclosure ensures bass output down to 45Hz (±10dB). Additionally, a low saturation 70.7V/100V transformer with primary taps at 1.9, 3.8, 7.5, 15, 30, and 60 watts (@70.7V) is included, allowing for seamless integration and balance with full range speakers without requiring additional amplification. A front-mounted selector switch offers convenient tap adjustments without needing to remove the subwoofer from its ceiling installation, and it includes a transformer bypass option for 8-ohm direct coupled setups.
