The Atlas Sound FAP42TC-UL2043 loudspeaker is engineered to meet the stringent standards of UL 2043 for use in air handling (true plenum) spaces. With a compact overall depth of just 4 inches (102mm), this speaker is an ideal solution for applications requiring high-fidelity audio and broad, uniform coverage, especially when space constraints are a consideration. It’s also suitable for wall mount installations, such as in tanning salons or for surround sound systems, as its compact design fits most stud wall configurations.
The speaker features a streamlined input section with a 4-pole Phoenix-style connector to facilitate easy daisy chaining between speakers. Installation is made simple with a user-friendly cover that includes combination knock-outs for 1/2″ (13mm) and 3/4″ (19mm) fittings. The renowned Atlas Sound “C-ring / V-Rail” mounting system enables swift installation into drop tile acoustic ceilings and existing drywall. For new construction drywall setups, the optional FAP42-TR accessory can be employed.
This upgraded model retains all the popular features of the FAP42T, including a front-mounted tap selector switch with a transformer bypass option for 8 Ohm applications. It also boasts elegant press-fit grills, a high-performance 4-inch polypropylene cone driver paired with a 3/4 inch (19mm) PEI tweeter, and precision crossover components to ensure smooth, consistent audio coverage.
