The GD87 is an advanced coaxial loudspeaker designed to deliver exceptional audio performance, matching the renowned sonic capabilities of the industry-standard Atlas Sound Model C803A. This ensures seamless integration with existing C803A installations, allowing systems to be expanded without experiencing any audible or performance differences. The GD87 is a high-quality, 16-watt model featuring a post-mounted tweeter that reinforces the structure while enhancing its aesthetic appeal. With a frequency response ranging from 45Hz to 19kHz and a wide, consistent dispersion pattern of 105° (2kHz octave band), this coaxial loudspeaker delivers superior sound coverage.
It incorporates a full-sized 8-inch (203mm) low-frequency driver and a 3-inch (76mm) high-frequency driver, integrated via a built-in crossover network. The woofer is equipped with a 10oz. (260g) ceramic magnet, while the tweeter houses a 2.35oz. (67g) ceramic magnet, contributing to an average sensitivity of 96dB (1W/1M). Pairing this loudspeaker is a high-efficiency 8-watt 70.7V transformer, featuring maximum insertion loss of just 0.6dB. Constructed with audio-grade laminations, the transformer offers a full-range frequency response of +1dB from 50Hz to 15kHz and includes primary taps for 1, 2, 4, and 8 watts, ensuring versatile application across diverse audio setups.
