These robust, high-output speakers integrate seamlessly as communication endpoints within InformaCast and SA-Announce Advanced Notification systems, supporting audio broadcasts that boost physical security and improve routine communications through advanced alerting, bell schedules, scheduled announcements, and intercom features, all leveraging robust WAN/LAN Network Architecture. In a Cisco Environment, the IP-8SM speakers can be incorporated into Cisco’s Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) architecture, providing call-processing redundancy during WAN outages which is crucial for maintaining communication, especially during emergencies. Additionally, in setups where third-party notification applications aren’t required, the IP-8SM speakers can register as SIP devices directly to a SIP server or VoIP Communications Manager, supporting critical alerts and public address systems with two-way communication capabilities. The speaker’s grille features a neutral white electrostatic powder coat finish and comes with all necessary mounting hardware. They include an omnidirectional subminiature electret condenser microphone installed behind the grille for enabling two-way communication and monitoring capabilities. Assembly includes a factory-installed speaker, grille, and a PCB amp/control board securely fixed to the back of the grille. With auto-registration, the IP-8SM streamlines configuration on your Voice VLAN, similar to a VoIP handset, ensuring both VoIP phones and IP speakers maintain consistent Quality of Service (QoS) for secure and reliable communications. The product features GPI/O ports for triggering intercom requests, critical alert notifications, or connecting third-party systems.
