By increasing the enclosure volume, it effectively extends the low-frequency response and optimizes acoustic loading. The interior surfaces of the backbox are undercoated to prevent metallic resonance at higher frequencies. The unit is lined with 1-1/2 inch (38 mm) thick, high-density fiberglass (1-1/2 lbs. per cu.ft.) for superior sound insulation. Designed for recessed mounting, the enclosure is constructed from heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel (CRS) and includes four strategically positioned combination conduit knockouts for easy installation. The model features a rust-resistant, textured black finish for durability and aesthetic appeal.
