The VPCS-2GPB-2 2-gang intercom stations are engineered for high-security systems, offering exceptional clarity for one-way or two-way communication. Designed for deployment in demanding environments like detention centers, correctional facilities, and institutional buildings, these intercom stations are also perfectly suited for high-risk public-access areas such as hallways, lobbies, and parking garages. Built to endure tough conditions, the units resist abuse, moisture, corrosion, dust, vibration, and extreme temperatures ranging from -10° to 150° F. The intercom stations feature a 2.5″ (64mm) speaker to ensure clear voice and signal transmission, with a phenolic resin-impregnated, moisture-proof cloth cone for lasting performance. Two die-cast baffles safeguard the speaker against vandalism. The VPCS-2GPB-2 includes a 25V transformer and a vandal-proof push-button call switch, ideal for installations requiring secure call origination. The faceplate mounts easily to a standard 2-gang electrical box using countersunk 6-32″ mounting screws. Equipped with 5″ (127mm) lead wires, the switch is a single-pole, single-throw, normally open mechanism. The pushbutton assembly, made of nickel-plated brass, is moisture-sealed with an IP65 classification. Features include a call switch-equipped model, an 11-gauge stainless steel faceplate, transformer models offering 2, 1, 1/2, and 1/4 watt taps at 25 volts, and a two-piece die-cast baffle system for speaker protection.
