The OUTREACH Lite G provides a seamless answer to this challenge for gigabit Ethernet connections (a 100Base-TX specific version is also available).
By integrating an OUTREACH Lite G strategically within a network cable span, you can effectively extend the range to 200 meters (656 feet).
### Ease of Installation
OUTREACH Lite G leverages the standardized 802.3af/at/bt Power over Ethernet (POE) protocols, enabling it to derive power directly from the network, eliminating the need for a local power supply. This flexibility allows the OUTREACH Lite G to be positioned precisely where required.
To extend the network, connect OUTREACH Lite G up to 100 meters from a POE-enabled switch, facilitating an additional 100 meters using standard Cat5e or equivalent cabling. In scenarios lacking POE, a simple upgrade via a cost-effective POE injector, like Veracity’s gigabit-compatible OUTSOURCE, is available.
Configuration is hassle-free as OUTREACH Lite G auto-adjusts network speed, duplex, and crossover settings without needing an IP or MAC address.
### Extended Reach
For requirements demanding both POE and network extension beyond 200 meters (656 feet), the OUTREACH Max G can be deployed to further extend Ethernet and POE capabilities. For example, to establish a 300-meter (984 feet) connection between a POE switch and another network component, position an OUTREACH Max G at 100 meters, followed by another 100 meters leading to an OUTREACH Lite G, concluding with 100 meters to the gigabit network apparatus.
For extremely long Ethernet distances, consider the LONGSPAN devices from Veracity, facilitating 100Base-TX connections with POE up to 820 meters (2,690 feet).
