Description
Overview – The Paxton10 Door Controllers serve as the foundational elements of the Paxton10 access control system. Each controller manages a single door while providing a port accommodating up to three Paxton10 connectors to enhance functionality. A single system can incorporate up to 1000 door controllers, streamlining large-scale access management.
This door controller functions as a network device that communicates via TCP/IP, ensuring seamless integration with existing network infrastructures.
The controller features 4 inputs: tamper, 230v fail, door contact, and Request to Exit (RTE).
An intruder alarm can be effectively integrated using the Paxton10 alarm connector (010-203).
Options for Power over Ethernet (PoE) and PCB-only configurations (available with or without a plastic enclosure) are also provided.
Installation – The Paxton10 Door Controller includes a wiring label that clearly displays color-coded connections for readers, power supplies, locks, and more. The 12v output dedicated to locks enables control over any door, barrier, or gate. Diagnostic LEDs offer real-time insights into the status of the controller’s inputs and outputs.
Controllers connect directly to the network through TCP/IP, becoming automatically visible in the Paxton10 software under the devices menu for easy accessibility.
Operation – Any adjustments made within the Paxton10 software are immediately relayed to the door controller. When a user presents their access token to the reader, the control unit identifies them, allowing or denying access as appropriate based on the system’s configuration.
