Description
**Overview**– P series access control readers are designed for integration with Switch2 and Net2 systems. These readers come with standard black fascias, but replacement fascias in black and white/gray are available at no additional cost for registered installers through the Extranet. The P series readers come in four different sizes to suit various installation needs.
We’ve incorporated Genuine HID Technology into most of our access control readers, enabling them to read HID 125kHz Proximity credentials when activated with a specific licensing card. If needed, these readers can also be configured for Wiegand output using a separate activation card.
**Installation**– Follow the wiring instructions provided on the control unit label for proper installation. To optimize performance, avoid placing the reader on metal surfaces or close to other proximity readers, as these can reduce the read range. For precise drilling and mounting, the cable is designed to exit centrally from the back of the reader.
**Functionality**– The reader operates by holding a credential close to it. When a credential is detected, the control unit checks the user’s access permissions. Access is granted or denied based on these permissions. A green LED will flash for granted access, while a red LED will flash for denied access.
