**Overview** – Proximity readers featuring Genuine HID Technology™ are designed for integration with both Net2 and various third-party access control systems. These advanced readers are compatible with standard cards equipped with Genuine HID Technology™, functioning at a frequency of 125 kHz. They reliably transmit unaltered Wiegand card data. The product line includes the Proximity P50M reader and a durable metal variant, both incorporating Genuine HID Technology™.
These access control readers are pre-configured with 125 kHz Genuine HID Technology™, eliminating the need for additional activation licenses. However, obtaining Wiegand output requires the separate purchase of an activation card.
The P series readers are available with black fascias. Registered installers can acquire replacement fascias in black and white/gray at no additional cost through the Extranet.
**Installation** – Each Genuine HID Technology™ Proximity reader is equipped with a 3-meter cable and should be wired as indicated on the control unit label. To maintain optimal read range, avoid installing the readers on metal surfaces or in proximity to other readers. The cable exits centrally from the back, ensuring precision during drilling and mounting processes.
**Functionality** – To operate, position a token close to the reader. The reader then transmits the token’s data to the control unit for verification of access permissions. A green LED light indicates granted access, while a red LED signifies denial.
