The HID Global pivCLASS R10 mini-mullion contactless reader is designed for secure environments requiring compliance with FIPS-201 standards for “Controlled” access. When paired with the pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM), this reader delivers robust authentication, verifying the authenticity of the card, ensuring its data integrity, and confirming that it is neither a duplicate nor a clone. The pivCLASS R10 reader is compatible with any PIV-based cards featuring an ISO 14443 contactless interface and a Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificate.
