HID Global’s pivCLASS Government Solutions offerings empower facilities to enhance their current physical access control systems (PACS) to meet FIPS 201 compliance standards. The pivCLASS contactless readers, models R10 and R40, alongside their proximity-enabled variants, provide the “Controlled” assurance level as specified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-116 guidelines. This is achieved by using the pivCLASS Authentication Module (PAM) to conduct a single-factor authentication verification.
