The Honeywell OmniClass is a premier lineup of 13.56 MHz contactless secure smart card readers, renowned for their exceptional reliability, consistent read range, and straightforward installation process. Available in various sizes, each OmniClass reader integrates advanced smart card technology, supporting multiple applications per physical card and offering optional mobile credential functionality.
OmniClass readers can seamlessly retrofit any Wiegand output reader, including widely used HID® or Honeywell proximity readers. This cutting-edge smart card technology is ideal for applications in access control, logical (PC) access, biometric template storage, parking management, secure IDs with embedded tamper-proof digital photos, ePurse, and numerous other scenarios requiring secure and reliable read/write capabilities.
With the integration of HID’s Mobile Access™ platform, OmniClass now provides optional Bluetooth® capability, allowing users to utilize a compatible smartphone as a credential. Customers can choose between mobile-ready configurations, prepared for mobile credential use without loaded mobile keys, or mobile-enabled configurations, featuring loaded and enabled mobile keys for mobile credential use.
**Multi-Technology Functionality**
To facilitate a smooth transition from a 125 kHz prox card system to a smart card system, the OmniClass range includes options supporting HID Prox, EM4102, and AWID proximity technologies. These multi-technology readers operate with all technologies simultaneously, enabling users to gradually transition to smart cards while incorporating various card technologies within a single building or across multiple locations. Whether processing proximity, mobile, smart, or multi-technology credentials, the readers send uniform user identification data formats to the panel, ensuring data remains transparent to the user.
