These 13.56 MHz smart card readers provide outstanding reliability, consistent read ranges, and easy installation. Available in various sizes, each reader integrates smart card technology, enabling multiple applications per physical card with optional mobile credential capabilities. Designed to retro-fit any Wiegand output reader, including standard proximity readers, this smart card technology is ideal for access control, logical (PC) access, biometric template storage, secure IDs, ePurse functionality, and more—perfect for applications requiring secure read/write capabilities.
With HID’s Mobile Access platform integration, OmniClass readers now offer optional Bluetooth capability, allowing smartphone usage as credentials. Customers can choose between mobile-ready configurations (for future mobile credential use) or mobile-enabled configurations (fully loaded and enabled with mobile keys).
For seamless transitions to smart card systems, the readers support multiple proximity technologies such as HID Prox, EM4102, and AWID, enabling simultaneous operation with all technologies.
