Description
The FSV10D1 fiber optic transmitter is engineered for seamless integration into the back box of Spectra® IV dome cameras. This advanced transmitter facilitates the transmission of a single unidirectional composite video channel alongside a bidirectional RS-422 data channel over a singular optical fiber. Utilizing “up-the-coax” technology, it ensures Coaxitron® pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) control data is effectively transmitted across the entire fiber span. Available in both multimode and single-mode configurations, the FSV10D1 transmitter is fully compatible with the FRV10D1 fiber optic receiver.
Users have the flexibility to select between bidirectional data and up-the-coax functionality via a dip switch on the FRV10D1 receiver. Opting for RS-422 data communication enables precise PTZ control of the Spectra IV dome. With Coaxitron control, PTZ signals are carried over video coaxial cable from the control unit to the FRV10D1 receiver, which then transmits the Coaxitron data through the fiber link to the FSV10D1 transmitter. The transmission of Coaxitron data to the Spectra IV dome occurs during the vertical blanking interval of the video signal. For enhanced installation efficiency, the FSV10D1 transmitter comes with a 13-inch fiber cable pre-attached. Power for the unit is supplied by the Spectra IV dome system.
