Outdoor protective hood for card readers and push buttons engineered to shield against harsh weather conditions and unauthorized access.
Crafted from durable 16-gauge steel, the design features an overhang extending 3.0-3.5 inches, tapering to a sidewall of 1.75 inches. It includes a substantial 1.8-inch diameter access hole centered on the rear and several 0.25-inch knockouts to facilitate alignment with various walls or pedestals.
The hood is treated with a phosphate solution to inhibit rust, followed by heat drying. It’s then generously coated with an outdoor-grade TGIC polyester black wrinkle powder finish with UV protection, and cured at 400 °F for superior durability against extreme weather conditions.
Available in a standard black wrinkle finish, it also comes in additional color options such as safety yellow, white, or electrical gray. Material choices include aluminum or stainless steel for added versatility.
