Black Powder Coated Access Control Pedestal for Security Systems
This robust, cost-effective pad-mount gooseneck pedestal features a black powder-coated finish, with a 12″ neck reach made from a 2″ square tube with a .120″ wall thickness. It includes a 4″ x 4″ x .120″ faceplate and an 8″ x 8″ x .25″ base plate. The package comes complete with a cover plate, plus carriage bolts and nuts.
Specifically designed for card reader installation to cater to SUVs, box trucks, and various delivery vehicles, it effectively supports intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, housings, and other access control devices. Primarily utilized in automatic gate access and security applications like parking lots and perimeter control, it includes a faceplate with universal hole patterns and a heavy-duty base plate. The sliding cover plate conceals mounting bolts to enhance security and aesthetic appeal.
This pedestal boasts superior durability owing to its construction from .120″ wall tube, which uses 62% more steel than many competitors that typically use .074″ wall tubes. Designed to withstand harsh environmental challenges, including vandalism and severe weather, it has passed stringent wind-resistance testing, enduring sustained Category 5 hurricane-force winds of 157 mph.
Our gooseneck is meticulously bent with a precise 6″ center radius using advanced mandrel bending technology, ensuring uniformity in the curve without compromising the integrity. The pedestal is bead-blasted to remove contaminants and blemishes before being coated with a high-performance outdoor-rated TGIC polyester finish that includes UV protection, ensuring longevity in any climate.
Each unit is assembled with carriage bolt hardware, then packaged individually in foam and boxed for secure shipping.
