This Category 5e/Class D, 8-position, unshielded twisted pair (UTP) jack module is designed for terminating solid 4-pair UTP cables ranging from 24 to 22 AWG with a 100-ohm impedance, without the need for a punchdown tool. These UTP jack modules employ a downward forward motion termination approach to ensure optimal performance, maintaining cable pair geometry and minimizing conductor untwist. To indicate Category 5e performance, the module’s base sled is color-coded orange and features a universal label compatible with T568A and T568B wiring standards.
