Opti-Core® Fiber Optic Distribution Cable is a crucial component of Panduit’s comprehensive fiber optic solutions, engineered to support the current data demands while preparing for future network expansions. This fiber optic cable is ideal for indoor deployment, offering high-density connectivity and straightforward installation. It’s suitable for a range of applications, including intra-building backbones, routing between telecommunications rooms, and use in riser and plenum environments. Meeting or exceeding the standards of Telcordia GR-409 and the EIA/TIA-455 series FOTPs, Opti-Core® ensures exceptional performance. Leveraging the superior quality of OM3 and OM4 laser-optimized fibers, it efficiently supports 10 Gb/s applications and ensures compatibility with existing 50µm multimode systems. Available in standard singlemode and multimode options, the distribution cable offers fiber counts ranging from 6 to 144 fibers. The 6, 12, and 24-fiber cables feature a “single jacket” design with 900µm tight-buffered fibers and aramid yarn strength members. For larger installations, the cable features a “sub-unit” design for fiber counts of 36 and greater, simplifying fiber identification, enhancing accessibility and routing, and boosting durability with a dielectric central strength member.
