The SGEKAC kit is a comprehensive solution that includes one SGET transmitter, one SGER receiver, and one SGACsens sensor. Ideal for installation on motorized gates, doors, or barrier arms, the SGET transmitter is integrated with a 10K exterior safety edge sensor. This sensor ensures a closed circuit across the connecting wires when an object is encountered during the gate’s closing operation. To guarantee full compatibility with all gate edge supervision features, NSC strongly recommends using Miller gate edge sensors with a 10K resistance. Please specify the sensor requirements when placing an order.
The SGER is a wireless radio control system crafted for automatic gate openers and garage door operators. It boasts an advanced radio format, offering unmatched security. Unlike traditional systems, the SGER does not rely on a typical “coding switch.” Each transmitter is pre-configured at the factory with a distinct code. When setting up, the receiver is programmed by receiving a signal from the transmitter(s), thus storing their unique codes in the receiver’s memory. This memory retention is maintained even if the power is lost, allowing the receiver to activate only through these “memorized” transmitters. The receivers are versatile, with an operating range from 10.5-30 volts DC, typically powered by the gate operator. The relay contacts are rated for 5 amps at 32 volts AC/DC, compliant with NEC Class 2 circuit standards.
The AC Sensor offers reliable detection of AC motor activation through proximity sensing, eliminating the need for direct electrical connection to an active motor feed wire.
