Description
The RCI Ranger system from Farpointe Data establishes a new standard in the electronic security industry for high-frequency, long-range identification receivers and transmitters. Utilizing cutting-edge, contactless digital ultra-high frequency (UHF) technology, the RCI Ranger receivers seamlessly integrate with a variety of electronic access control systems through compliance with the Wiegand communication protocol. These devices provide enhanced features like MAXSecure and an impressive read range of up to 150 feet (WRT-2M with WRR-44). The WRT-2M transmitter is an active component, powered by a dependable and widely available battery. It can be equipped with an adhesive disc tag, such as Farpointe’s PDT-1 model, which attaches to the back of the transmitter. This feature allows it to serve as a close-range, presentation-style access credential. Disc tags are available separately and come in multiple protocols to suit diverse security needs.
