The SMART Pac III is an advanced in-line power controller engineered to safeguard and prolong the lifespan of electric strikes and other electrified access control products by leading manufacturers. Incorporating a built-in polyswitch and a zener diode, it defends the host system against potential reverse current surges. Additionally, its voltage ‘step down’ feature reduces operating temperatures, enhancing the durability of electric strikes. The SMART Pac III accommodates an input range of 10.5 to 33 VDC or 10.5 to 30 RMS AC, delivering a consistent DC output.
The SMART Pac III also serves as a valuable troubleshooting tool for installation issues. Its integrated LED functions as a straightforward voltage meter, providing an accurate reading of the power supply voltage during setup. Furthermore, the device includes a two-position Slide Switch, allowing adjustment of output voltage to align with the requirements of the electric strike.
