Description
**Description:** The 7130 and 7131 Electric Strikes with 6-7/8″ faceplates are engineered for compatibility with deadlatches or cylindrical locksets featuring latchbolt projections between 1/2″ and 5/8″. These electric strikes are ideal for integration into aluminum jambs and stiles.
**Function:** These electric strikes facilitate remote electrical control for narrow stile or hollow metal doors equipped with compatible deadlatches or cylindrical locksets, characterized by latchbolt projections ranging from 1/2″ to 5/8″. Designed to cover strike openings when transitioning from pivoted-bolt deadlocks to deadlatches, these units unlock via electrical actuation. Their compact design allows installation in aluminum jambs or opposing door sections as shallow as 1-5/8″. These units serve as replacements for discontinued electric strikes in this category.
**Specifications:**
**Fail-Safe/Fail-Secure:** The configuration can be field converted between modes. Continuous use of the AC intermittent solenoid is not recommended.
**Case:** Measures approximately 1″ x 3-3/8″ x 1-5/8″ deep.
**Strike Lip:** The 7130 features a strike lip compatible with 1-3/4″ thick doors closing flush with the jamb edge. For differing door thicknesses or jamb shapes, lip extension kits are available. These kits are not applicable for the 7131 model.
**Strike Opening:** Features dimensions of 5/8″ x 1-7/16″ x 1/2″ deep with a stainless-steel bolt retainer jaw. Compatible with bolt projections from specific deadlatch and cylindrical latch models.
**Faceplate:** The faceplate measures 1-1/4″ x 6-7/8″, with the 7130 offering a flat faceplate and the 7131 featuring a radiused design to align with narrow stile glass door pairs. Available in various architectural finishes.
**Voltage:** Offered in 12 or 24 volts, AC and DC options. DC continuous units operate silently, while AC intermittent units produce a buzzing sound upon activation.
