The 7240 fire-rated electric strikes with 4-7/8″ faceplates are engineered for cylindrical locksets featuring up to a 5/8″ latchbolt projection, ideal for installation in hollow metal door frames.
Functionality
These electric strikes offer remote electronic control for doors fitted with cylindrical lock types, including key-in-knob and lever styles, accommodating latchbolt projections up to 5/8″. Upon electrical activation, the strike jaw unlocks, allowing the latchbolt to release, thus enabling the door to open without manual latch operation. The highly compact design fits seamlessly into door jambs as shallow as 1-21/32″. They are fire-rated for fail-secure applications.
