The 4510 Series Standard Duty Deadlatches are designed for dynamic traffic management in commercial settings, ideal for managing access in industries like healthcare, finance, and retail both during and after business hours.
**Functionality:**
This series offers adaptable control for premises requiring variable entrance and exit protocols. The deadlatch allows for two-way traffic when needed by a reverse key turn while the bolt is held retracted. It is compatible as a replacement for any MS1850S Deadlock of the same backset and faceplate configuration without requiring modifications. However, it does not provide the same level of maximum security as the MS®Deadlock.
**Operation:**
The latchbolt is retracted by turning the key or using a handle or paddle. To retain the bolt in a retracted position, press it in and secure it with a reverse key turn. The lock is compatible with any standard mortise cylinder featuring an MS® cam, such as the 4036 Mortise Cylinder or the 4066 Thumbturn, which are available separately. It accommodates cylinders from either one or both sides, ensuring versatility for various access requirements.
