The 4510 Series Standard Duty Deadlatch is designed to offer adaptable traffic management for sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and retail. Ideal for applications needing unrestricted access during select times and exit-only options at others, this deadlatch allows for a reverse turn of the key while the bolt is held retracted to enable two-way traffic flow. Compatible with any MS1850S Deadlock sharing the same backset and faceplate shape, it does not achieve the same high-security standards. The spring-loaded latchbolt can be retracted using a key, handle, or paddle. To hold the bolt retracted, simply push it in and secure it with a reverse turn of the key. This locking system integrates with any standard mortise cylinder with an MS cam, which can be purchased separately. It accommodates any standard 1″ (25.4 mm) length, 1-5/32″ (29.4 mm) diameter mortise cylinder, such as the 4036 Mortise Cylinder, or thumbturn options like the 4066 Thumbturn, also sold separately, and can accept a cylinder from either or both sides.
