Description
The 4900 Series Heavy Duty Deadlatch is designed for versatile access management and streamlined installation.
**Features:**
The 4900 Series Heavy Duty Deadlatches provide enhanced traffic control and are easy to install. They feature a key-controlled bolt hold-back mechanism, allowing for adaptable access that supports unrestricted entry at certain times and exit-only access at other times. This functionality enables a secured entrance to serve as an exit for occupants within the building. These deadlatches require a minimum door thickness of 1-3/4″ (44.5 mm) and can be interchanged, without adjusting the stile, with any MS1850S deadbolt that shares the same backset and faceplate shape. Additionally, they can retrofit into existing 4510 configurations and those of the discontinued 4700 Deadlatches.
**Operation:**
To operate, turn the key or engage the handle or paddle to retract the spring-loaded latchbolt. To maintain the bolt in a retracted position, push it in and lock it by reversing the key turn. This deadlatch is compatible with any standard 1″ (25.4 mm) length, 1-5/32″ (29.4 mm) diameter mortise cylinder featuring an MS cam such as the 4036 Mortise Cylinder, or with a thumbturn like the 4066 Thumbturn, both available separately. The lock can accept cylinders on one or both sides of the door.
