The 4920AN Heavy Duty Deadlatch is an ideal solution for seamless traffic control and straightforward installation on wood or hollow metal doors. This robust deadlatch offers versatile traffic management, thanks to its key-controlled bolt hold-back feature, which enables two-way traffic. This is perfect for situations requiring free entrance at specific times and exit-only access at others. The feature allows a securely “locked” entrance to function as an exit for individuals already inside the building. It requires a minimum door thickness of 1-3/4″ (44.5 mm). The latch is interchangeable, without needing stile modifications, with any MS1850SN Deadlock that shares the same backset and faceplate dimensions. It serves as a direct replacement for the 4520 and the discontinued 4720 ANSI Deadlatches, and it is suited for hollow metal or wood doors prepared according to American National Standards Institute (ANSI) specifications.
