Description
The AL1024ACM220 power supply is engineered to convert a standard 220VAC 60Hz input into eight (8) independently controlled 24VDC outputs suitable for both Fail-Safe and Fail-Secure access control applications, delivering a total continuous supply current of 10 amps. These outputs can be activated using an open collector sink or a normally open (NO) dry trigger input from various Access Control Systems, such as card readers, keypads, push buttons, and PIR sensors. Designed to distribute power to numerous access control hardware devices, this unit supports equipment like magnetic locks, electric strikes, and magnetic door holders, enabling both Fail-Safe and Fail-Secure functionality. It offers flexibility in power sourcing, either from a single common power supply for both the board and locking mechanisms (factory installed), or from two separate independent power sources—one for the board and another for lock/accessory operation. An integrated Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) interface facilitates emergency egress, alarm monitoring, or triggering auxiliary devices, with fire alarm disconnect functionality customizable for each of the eight (8) outputs. The input accommodates a nominal 220VAC (range 198VAC – 256VAC) 50/60Hz rated at 2.5A, with power supply input options for either single or dual isolated configurations. Featuring eight (8) Access Control System trigger inputs, the unit allows diverse input combinations, including eight normally open (NO) or open collector inputs. With output options providing eight Fail-Safe and/or Fail-Secure power outputs and eight auxiliary unswitched power outputs, it ensures robust filtered and electronically regulated output with built-in power supply features. Fuses rated at 3.5A protect each output, complemented by an ACM8 board main fuse rated at 10A. Additional features include individually selectable fire alarm disconnects (latching or non-latching) for any output, short circuit and thermal overload protection, visual indicators with red LEDs for triggers, and a green LED for FACP disconnect status. The unit supports battery backup with a built-in charger for sealed lead acid or gel-type batteries, which automatically engages upon AC failure without voltage drop. It also provides AC failure, battery fail, and battery presence supervision through form “C” contacts. Operating temperatures range from 0ºC to 49ºC (32ºF to 120ºF), with storage temperatures from -20ºC to 70ºC (-4ºF to 158ºF), and relative humidity at 85% +/- 5%, while heating output is estimated at 123 BTU/Hr.
