These power management units are designed for distributing and switching power across access control systems and related accessories. They efficiently convert a 115VAC 60Hz input into eight (8) independently controlled 12VDC or 24VDC outputs, each protected by fuses. These power outputs can be altered to dry form “C” contacts, and are activated by an open collector sink or a normally open (NO) dry trigger input from devices like Access Control Systems, Card Readers, Keypads, Push Buttons, and PIRs. The units are capable of routing power to various access control hardware such as Magnetic Locks, Electric Strikes, and Magnetic Door Holders, supporting both Fail-Safe and Fail-Secure operation modes. Featuring an FACP Interface, the units allow for Emergency Egress, Alarm Monitoring, or triggering of additional auxiliary devices. They include a fire alarm disconnect feature that can be individually selected for any or all of the eight (8) outputs. The power inputs are rated at 115VAC 60Hz with a 4.2A capacity. There are two input configuration options: a single common power input for ACM8 and lock power (pre-installed at the factory), or dual isolated power inputs—one for ACM8 and another for lock accessory power, requiring an external power supply. The total current must not surpass 10A. For inputs, there are eight (8) trigger options: eight (8) normally open (NO), eight (8) open collector inputs, or any combination thereof. The output supplies 24VDC at a 10A current capacity, offering eight (8) independently controlled outputs with options for Fail-Safe and/or Fail-Secure power outputs, as well as eight (8) auxiliary outputs unswitched. All power outputs are fuse-protected, with the fuses rated at 3.5A and outputs being electronically regulated and filtered through the built-in power supply. Supervision features include AC fail supervision with form “C” contacts, a selectable notification trigger set for either 30 seconds (default) or 6 hours, and form “C” contacts for low battery and battery presence supervision. Additional features are a Fire Alarm disconnect, which can be either latching or non-latching and selected for each of the eight (8) outputs, accepting normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) inputs, and polarity reversal from an FACP signaling circuit. An alarm output relay signals FACP input activation (form “C” contact 1A 28VDC, not UL evaluated). The units also provide short circuit and thermal overload protection. Visual indicators include red LEDs for active outputs and green LEDs to signal FACP disconnect trigger, along with AC input and DC output LED indicators. For battery backup, the units have a built-in charger for sealed lead-acid or gel batteries, providing automatic switch over to battery power in the event of AC failure, with zero voltage drop during the switch. Temperature ranges for operation are between 0ºC to 49ºC (32ºF to 120ºF) and for storage between -20ºC to 70ºC (-4ºF to 158ºF), with relative humidity maintained at 85% +/- 5% and a heat output of approximately 123 BTU/Hr.
