Description

The VC-485 Communication Interface serves as a versatile RS-232/RS-485 protocol converter, ideal for linking PCs to KT-100, KT-200, or KT-300 controllers. With a potential bus length of up to 5 km (18,000 ft) when using a line repeater, this device offers extensive connectivity for industrial communication systems. For EntraPass applications utilizing Ethernet Grade 3, unshielded, twisted pair cable, such as Belden #1227A, the maximum length is 1,200 m (4,000 ft). Additionally, two VC-485 units can be configured back-to-back to function as a line repeater, further extending RS-485 communication capabilities.
