Description
The Altronix ACMS8CB is a UL-listed component specifically engineered for integration into Altronix’s wall and rack-mounted enclosures within security and access control systems. This versatile module operates on input power sourced from eFlow series power supplies, featuring a dual-input configuration that supports power distribution from two separate low voltage power sources ranging from 5 to 24 VDC. This power is then distributed to eight PTC protected outputs, each independently controlled. These outputs can be activated via an open collector sink, normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) dry trigger input, or a wet input from an access control interface such as a card reader, keypad, push button, or PIR sensor. The ACMS8CB efficiently channels power to various access control hardware, including magnetic locks, electric strikes, and magnetic door holders, functioning in both fail-safe and fail-secure modes. It includes a Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) interface for emergency egress, alarm monitoring, or triggering additional auxiliary devices. Each of the eight outputs is equipped with an individually selectable fire alarm disconnect feature. The module’s spade connectors facilitate daisy-chaining to multiple ACMS8CB units, enabling power distribution across an expanded array of outputs, essential for larger security system deployments.
