The SD4 and SD16 smart distribution modules are the ultimate solutions for fully remote power management in the security industry. These modules enable remote monitoring and management of auxiliary devices, such as access control panels, card readers, and request-to-exit (REX) devices, which were previously unmonitored. When integrated with compatible NetLink and M8 modules, the entire access power infrastructure can be managed remotely.
The SD4 offers 4 monitored voltage outputs, while the SD16 provides 16 outputs, both accessible via network or internet. These distribution boards work seamlessly with an NL4 or NLX network module (mandatory for operation), featuring an on-board RS485 connection for remote monitoring by the NLX. This setup facilitates Distributed Power Monitoring (DPM) across a large enterprise from a single IP drop, with a temperature probe included to track environmental conditions and enclosure parameters for remotely deployed setups.
Each output on the SD4 and SD16 can be jumper-configured to operate at either 12V or 24V in a dual voltage power system. The advanced OutSmart dual-color LEDs offer immediate visual feedback on voltage levels (green indicating 12V and blue for 24V). With network programmability, each output can also be configured for fire alarm override, and they can be individually enabled or disabled via a browser interface. Users can monitor the voltage and current of each output through network or internet access and set high and low trigger points for alerts when outputs fall outside predefined parameters.
