The Kantech KT-IT100 (DSC IT-100) offers a comprehensive Application Programming Interface (API) designed to facilitate seamless communication between third-party applications and PowerSeries control panels, enabling fully integrated control solutions. This interface is widely utilized for integrating security management software like EntraPass with DSC PowerSeries alarm control panels, and is flexible enough to connect with various home and building automation products. Equipped with a bi-directional RS-232 interface, the module can receive commands and transmit event-driven or state-change commands to third-party applications, thereby enhancing shared functionality. For instance, when a security system is disarmed upon entry, the IT-100 can trigger an HVAC system to automatically adjust the thermostat or activate lights through a home automation system.
