Description

The KT-400 is an advanced Ethernet-enabled four-door controller featuring 128-bit AES encrypted communication with EntraPass Security Software, making it an ideal secure access control solution for businesses prioritizing security. This device seamlessly integrates into existing EntraPass systems alongside other Kantech controllers like the KT-1 and KT-300 or can function independently in Standalone Mode, laying the groundwork for new access control installations without needing a connected host system.

Equipped with an onboard Ethernet port, the KT-400 eliminates the necessity for an external IP device to connect to the network. Its dual-sensing port automatically detects and adjusts to a 10Base-T or 100Base-T connection, optimizing connectivity speed. The KT-400 efficiently manages network polling by communicating with the EntraPass Gateway only when an event is triggered. To ensure communication integrity, it sends a heartbeat signal at regular intervals to the EntraPass system. This asynchronous communication method minimizes network bandwidth usage, enhancing the efficiency of the access control system management.
