Description
**Ethernet-Ready Encrypted 4-Door Controller**
The KT-400 is a secure, networked access control solution tailored for managing four doors, supporting up to eight Kantech ioProx XSF entry/exit readers. Equipped with an on-board Ethernet port, the KT-400 seamlessly integrates with existing network infrastructures, leveraging IP-based systems for enhanced connectivity. By combining KT-400 with EntraPass security management software, users can deploy a scalable access control system capable of expanding from four doors to one million doors, accommodating millions of cards across various locations.
**Built-In Expansion**
The KT-400 controller features the capability to connect to expansion modules, allowing for additional inputs and outputs, such as relays. This input and output flexibility facilitates connections for up to 256 inputs and 256 outputs, enhancing the system’s adaptability to various access control needs.
**Status Indicators**
LED indicators on the KT-400 provide essential diagnostic information, offering insights into network activity, power status, troubleshooting, and outputs activity for optimal performance monitoring.
**Seamless Network Connectivity**
Featuring an auto-sensing 10/100Base-T Ethernet port, the KT-400 selects Ethernet speeds automatically for optimal network connectivity, eliminating the need for external Ethernet devices and reducing installation costs. Secure 128-bit AES encryption ensures safe communication with the network Gateway.
**Removable Terminal Blocks**
To streamline installation and maintenance, the KT-400 includes removable terminal blocks that are color-coded for easy and quick identification, improving efficiency.
**Built-in Web Configuration**
Accessible via any browser, the KT-400 offers a web configuration page for IP settings configuration and verification. For security, this page becomes inaccessible post-configuration but can be reset to factory default for configuration error resolution.
**Occupancy Level Controls**
The KT-400 incorporates the anti-passback feature to enforce occupancy limits in designated areas such as auditoriums or labs, preventing overcrowding and maintaining compliance with capacity regulations.
**Low Bandwidth Consumption**
EntraPass software effectively monitors door events through asynchronous communication with KT-400 controllers, reducing bandwidth usage. Communication integrity is maintained with regular heartbeat signals, and alarms are triggered upon communication failure.
**Supervised Lock Power**
Four supervised door lock outputs, powered internally (12 VDC) or externally (12-24 VDC), eliminate the need for extra relays, as the KT-400 continues to supervise lock outputs, enhancing security and power management.
