Description
Overview – “Hands-free access control” refers to a system where an identification token is read without the need for manual intervention, even when it’s inside a pocket or handbag. This technology is particularly beneficial for applications such as automatic gates, barriers, loading docks, and facilities accommodating individuals with disabilities or the elderly. By utilizing unique wireless technology, hands-free key fobs work in tandem with a specialized interface to provide seamless access control.
Installation – These hands-free tokens are compatible with all PROXIMITY readers, acting as standard access credentials. For extended hands-free range, the P series readers and KP series keypads can be equipped with a hands-free interface, enhancing performance and user convenience.
Operation – Hands-free tokens operate in both active and passive modes, offering detection ranges from 0.85 meters to 2.5 meters when used with readers featuring a hands-free interface. In passive mode, these tokens are compatible with all other Paxton Access proximity readers. They are easily enrolled onto the Net2 system using a standard desktop reader.
