Description
**Overview** – Proximity card packages are designed for seamless integration with Proximity Compact, Easyprox Compact, and Switch2 access control systems. These card sets come in packs of 10, neatly arranged in wallets, and employ an efficient ‘shadow card’ system for straightforward management.
**Installation Process** – During system setup, the first card pack is activated by presenting the Enrolment card from that specific pack. To add additional card packs, you simply present the original Enrolment card followed by the new pack’s Enrolment card. Additional configuration is accomplished through the remaining cards in the pack.
– **Door Timer Card:** Configures the duration for which the door remains unlocked.
– **Fail Safe Operation Card:** Exclusively for use with Proximity Compact and Easyprox Compact systems. For Proximity Compact, presenting this card toggles the lock output to support a fail-open release; presenting it again reverts to fail-locked. For Easyprox Compact, it toggles the door lock between ‘unlock’ and relock states.
– **Silent Mode Card:** Silences the reader’s sounder in Compact systems. Reactivate the sounder by presenting the card once more.
**Functionality** – User cards are packaged in wallets, each accompanied by a matching shadow card. Following system installation, all user cards are activated and ready to distribute. To issue a user card, remove it from the wallet and inscribe the user’s name on the corresponding shadow card. This card grants access to the designated user. If a card needs to be deactivated, remove the corresponding shadow card from the wallet and present it to the pertinent readers on the site to invalidate access.
