The iCLASS® 13.56 MHz read/write contactless smart card technology is highly versatile and can be leveraged for various applications including access control, biometric authentication, cashless vending, public transportation, airline ticketing, and loyalty programs. It allows for multiple securely separated files, facilitating numerous applications and seamless scalability.
The iCLASS Card integrates iCLASS 13.56 MHz contactless read/write technology with options to include magnetic stripes, barcodes, and anti-counterfeiting features like custom artwork or photo identification on the credential. This card can be utilized for diverse applications such as access management, network security, vehicle identification, cashless transactions, time and attendance monitoring, and biometric verification. Compliance with ISO thickness standards ensures compatibility with direct image and thermal transfer printers.
Designed to enhance the power, versatility, and security of access control, iCLASS technology employs encrypted radio frequency data transmission between the card and reader, utilizing industry-standard encryption techniques to mitigate the risk of data breaches or card duplication. For heightened security, card data may also be protected with DES or triple DES encryption. Multiple securely separated application areas are safeguarded by 64-bit diversified read/write keys, enabling complex use cases and allowing for future expansion.
Security features such as mutual authentication and encryption are combined with rapid processing and data communication, resulting in transaction times of less than 100 milliseconds for typical secure e-purse transactions.
