This platform leverages the Secure Identity Object™ (SIO), a cutting-edge portable credential method, alongside HID Global’s Trusted Identity Platform™ (TIP) for advanced applications, mobility solutions, and enhanced security. The technology in iCLASS SE smart cards includes multiple securely separated application zones, each safeguarded by 64-bit diversified read/write keys, enabling complex applications and future scalability. The iCLASS SE technology empowers secure access control with features like mutual authentication, encrypted data transmission, and 64-bit diversified read/write capabilities.
These smart cards are available in configurations of 2k bit, 16k bit, or 32k bit, with options to include a magnetic stripe or barcode. They conform to ISO standards for card size and thickness, compatible with direct image and thermal transfer printers. Featuring a graphics quality surface designed for Photo ID printing, the cards can be produced using standard PVC or a composite polyester/PVC construction for environments with high wear and tear. iCLASS SE cards offer the option for visual security enhancements and anti-counterfeiting measures such as holograms, ultraviolet fluorescent inks, micro-printing, or custom logos for easy authentication. Operating at 13.56 MHz, this contactless smart card technology caters to a variety of applications, including physical access control, PC logon, biometric authentication, time and attendance management, cashless vending, public transportation, airline ticketing, and customer loyalty programs.
