Description
The 4590 Deadlatch Paddle offers an ergonomic solution as a replacement for traditional knobs or lever handles, providing seamless operation with a simple push or pull action.
Functionality:
This hardware component serves as an alternative to standard knob or lever mechanisms, enabling a latched door to be opened as effortlessly as an unlatched one by either pushing or pulling in the door’s swing direction. It is designed to be fully compatible with the 4300, 4500, or 4900 Series Deadlatch, MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch, and 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch systems.
Operation Options:
Available in four configurations: push left, push right, pull left, and pull right, catering to different door swing needs.
Design Features:
Paddle: Constructed from extruded aluminum for durability and a lightweight feel.
Escutcheons: Made from zinc alloy with a sleek black finish, these components are securely attached to the door stile with specialized binder posts designed to withstand torque loads in all directions.
Cam Plug: Specifically manufactured for use with 4300, 4500, and 4900 Series Deadlatches. The cam plug is not intended for MS+1890 Deadlock/Deadlatch or 2190/2290 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch applications. It is secured within the latch body by a cylinder set screw and is robustly connected to the escutcheon using hardened steel pins.
Packaging: The product comes individually boxed and includes all necessary mounting hardware. Units designed for the 4300, 4500, or 4900 Series Deadlatches are supplied with a cam plug for ease of installation.
